The Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) was formed over 70 years ago and is the largest credit management organisation in Europe and the only such organisation to be accredited by Ofqual.

Financial Conduct Authority

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulates the UK financial industry, operating independently from the UK Government. Its role includes enforcing, regulating and supervising over 50,000 financial services firms.

While the general purpose of the FCA is to regulate consumer financial services, Advocate work to the regulations relating to commercial debt recovery as defined in the FCA Handbook.

Prompt Payment Code

We support the Prompt Payment Code. The code is administered by the CICM on behalf of the Department for Business.

Better Payment Practice

We support the Better Payment Practice Campaign. The campaign aims to educate businesses on effective use of late payment legislation.
